Qnetics was founded from LTR, TVL and ZBH on July 4^th 2017. However the co-operation of the organizations was not new. There already was a co-operation contract for the Holstein breeding program between in LTR and ZBH in 1995. As a result there was the joint bull housing and semen production. LTR and TVL already worked together before as well.

The headquarters are in Alsfeld and the A.I. stud is located in Erfurt.

The company is managed by Ronald Bialek, Dr. Sonja Kleinhans and Rudi Paul. At the moment 175,485 herd book cows from 1,405 farms are registered in the breeding area. This includes 150,093 Black & White Holstein and 13,392 Red & White Holstein cows. Besides the Holstein cows, also 8,457 Fleckvieh cows, 729 red cattle cows and 11,599 beef cattle belong to Qnetics. In addition, Qnetics currently owns 140 A.I. bulls.

The Verein Ostfriesischer Stammviehzüchter was founded in 1878 and, therefore, is the oldest existing German breeding organization. The headquarters are located in Leer. There are also the livestock marketing center in Aurich-Schirum and the A.I. and ET stud in Georgsheil.

Even though the VOSt has the smallest breeding area, more than 155,000 Black & White and Red & White Holsteins are registered there.

The VOSt is especially proud of the production of its long-lasting cows. 5,000 cows in the VOSt area have produced more than 100,000 liters of milk since 1939. Those remarkable cows are not only presented at the monthly auctions, but also especially at the annual traditional show “Exzellent-Schau” in March and the auction “Select Sale” in November.

The Rinder-Union West eG was founded in April 1993. It merged from 15 formerly independent organizations. With its headquarters in Münster and the two regional centers in Krefeld and Fließem nearBitburg, RUW operates in North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. RUW is managed by Dr. Jürgen Hartmann and Dr. Michael Steinmann.

The large breeding area of RUW extending to three federal states offers a high variety of breeds. Besides Holstein cows, there also are the breeds Fleckvieh, Jersey, Red Cattle and Brown Swiss. A total of 330,658 herd book animals are registered at the moment. Moreover, 11,000 herd book animals of different beef breeds belong to RUW as well. A high class offer is presented annually at the top genetics auction “HighlightSALE” in the Zentral hall in Hamm.

RUW inaugurated its new bull stud in Borken in spring 2018. They not only built new bull barns, but also new facilities for semen collection. In addition, for numerous visitor groups, there is a visitor’s gallery with large conference room directly nearby the barns.

The RinderAllianz was founded on March 12^th 2014.

The business branch “herd book” remained at the particular breeding organizations in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania and Saxony-Anhalt. Both are organized as cooperatives. Headquarters of the company are in Woldegk. The A.I. stud in Woldegk includes approx. 250 bull boxes. Moreover, the marketing center is located in Karow and the breeding and marketing center is in Bismark. The center in Bismark offers space for 300 animals. The beef cattle department of the RinderAllianz is located in Halle.

The company is managed by Dr. Sabine Krüger, Dr. Matthias Löber and Heiko Güldenpfennig.

201,907 herd book cows are housed in the breeding area of the RinderAllianz. However, not only the dairy cattle breed offer is large, but also the beef cattle breed diversity.

Top-class genetics by RinderAllianz are presented at the annual auction “Sunrise Sale” in Karow.

The Rinderproduktion Berlin-Brandenburg has its headquarters in Groß Kreutz and is managed by Cornelia Buchholz and Thomas Auert.

More than 98,000 dairy herd book animals are currently registered in the RBB area. This includes even 94,499 Black & White Holstein and 1,838 Red & White Holstein cows. In addition, there are 303 beef herd book farms having more than 6,000 herd book cows.

The RSH started its business on September 1st 1992 and merged from the companies Rinderbesamung Nord-West e.G., Rinderbesamung Holsten e. G., Verband Angler Rinderzüchter e.V., Verband Schwarzbunte Schleswig-Holsteiner e.V., Verband Rotbunte Schleswig-Holsteiner e.V. and Zuchtrinder-Erzeugergemeinschaft e.G.

A beef cattle department was founded in October 1997. Headquarters are located in Neumünster today.

89,647 Black & White and 26,791 Red & White Holstein cows as well as 9,974 Angler are currently registered in the RSH breeding area. There are also 1,912 beef cattle of different breeds.

Besides monthly auctions in the Holsten hall, best genetics are presented at the annual member show “Neumünster am Abend”.

RBW was founded in 2000 as a union of all breeding and A.I. organizations in the state of Baden-Württemberg. The head office is located in Herbertingen in the district Sigmaringen.
As a complete partner for the entire cattle sector with its wide range of breeds, RBW is the contact regrading herd book, A.I. and marketing.
With over 1.1 million straws of semen sold and 216,398 herd book cows, RBW is also one of the largest cattle breeding companies in Germany.
RBW carries out around 280,000 first inseminations per year. About half of these are done with Fleckvieh semen, approx. 30% with Holstein, 10% with Brown Swiss and 8% with beef cattle. In addition to the wide range of bulls from the three main breeds, RBW also offers semen from local breeds such as Vorderwälder and Hinterwälder and a wide variety of beef breeds.

The A.I. center Neustadt a. d. Aisch e. V. (BVN) was founded in 1948 as one of the first A.I. organizations in Bavaria and currently has over 10,000 members.
The company is based in Neustadt / Aisch in Franconia. The majority of the approx. 450 bulls kept on the center belong to the Fleckvieh breed. In addition, the center is involved in Gelbvieh, a breed native to Franconia.
Of the 430,000 first inseminations, approximately 93% are carried out with Fleckvieh semen. Holstein accounts for 5% of inseminations and Gelbvieh for 1%.
The annual bull parade at the A.I. center Neustadt, which takes place every year on May 1, is legendary and famous worldwide.

The Rinderbesamungsgenossenschaft Memmingen eG was founded in 1950. The A.I. center is located in the Allgäu and thus in the middle of a region traditionally dominated by Brown Swiss. Consequently, the focus of the breeding work is set on Brown Swiss. In 2019, a new production facility was built in Hitzenhofen, and a new administration and semen storage building in Memmingen. With the new production facility and the new barns that offer optimal housing conditions for the bulls and the spacious administration building, the A.I. center of Memmingen now is one of the most modern A.I. centers in Europe.
Around 140,000 first inseminations are carried out annually by the Rinderbesamungsgenossenschaft Memmingen. 120 of the 145 bulls that are kept at the A.I. center are Brown Swiss. The rest of the bulls are Fleckvieh, Holstein, beef breeds and Original Brown Swiss.

The A.I. center of Greifenberg (founded in 1948) is one of the oldest in Bavaria. The company is located west of Munich at the Ammersee. The A.I. center Greifenberg is known for its wide range of different cattle breeds. In addition to the three large key breeds Fleckvieh, Brown Swiss and Holstein, you can also find beef bulls of various breeds and other specialties such as Murnau-Werdenfelser, Pinzgauer or Original Brown Swiss.
In total, around 160,000 first inseminations are carried out annually, about half of them with Fleckvieh, one quarter with Brown Swiss and the rest are divided equally between Holstein and beef breeds.
The headquarters are located in Greifenberg, with administration buildings, semen collection, laboratory, semen storage and a production barn for 100 bulls. Another 170 bulls are kept at the waiting bull facility in Hechenwang.

The headquarters of the AI center Nordschwaben e.V. are located in Höchstädt a.d. Donau. The AI center was founded in 1952. Today about 110 Fleckvieh bulls are kept in the barns, around 89,000 first inseminations are carried out annually.
Every year on the 1st Sunday in June a bull parade takes place at the AI center, which is very popular and attracts many visitors from Germany and abroad.

Around 40,000 first inseminations are performed annually by our smallest partner, the A.I. center Bauer, 98% of them with Fleckvieh. The A.I. center is affiliated to the world-famous Bauer dairy and is the only remaining A.I. center belonging to a dairy in Bavaria. Although the center has long been the smallest A.I. center in Bavaria, it still operates completely independently economically.
Bauer has been located in Tegernau on the outskirts of Wasserburg am Inn in Bavaria since 1952.
Around 35 bulls are kept on the A.I. station. In addition there are another 35 waiting bulls at other facilities.
