The Gelbvieh cattle are single-colored. The color varies from light yellow to red-yellow. The muzzle and horns have a light, and the hooves a dark color.

Polled status:

There are horned and genetically polled animals.

The animals are medium-sized to framy and have good muscularity, strong bone structure and solid hooves.

Production traits:

Gelbvieh cattle are housed both as dual purpose animals on dairy farms and on suckler cow farms for beef production. The animals excel with high feed intake capacity combined with very good meat production, persistent pregnancy, trouble-free calving and remarkable adaptability.
